About Me

I graduated from Staffordshire University in July 2015, with a first class in BSc (Hons) Psychology and Child Development. After graduating I spent a short time working as a research assistant investigating the effects of television on children’s creative thinking.  Subsequently to that I worked for Leeds University, on a longitudinal smoking prevention project investigating adolescents’ views on smoking.

Currently I am undertaking my PhD under supervision of Dr. Robert Dempsey, Dr. Rachel Povey and Professor Toni Stewart investigating whether the social norms approach, when applied to high school children, can improve their dietary behaviours.

Research Interests

My research interests include health and developmental psychology, with a particular interest in children’s eating behaviours and how to improve them.

Current Teaching

I am currently teaching on level 4 module Perspectives of Psychology and on Level 5 module Further Research Methods.
