3D Printing Bureau

Book in jobs, pay for prints, collect work and get technical support using our collection of 3D printers that include Mojo, Up Box, Markforged Onyx One, Formlab 3, and Stratasys J55. Print in various materials - resin, metal, carbon fibre and clay!

VR, AR and Mixed Reality Lab

The VR, AR and Mixed Reality Lab (VAX Reality Lab) is equipped with a number of HTC Vive Virtual Reality headsets and a dedicated development area to create, develop and test VR solutions.

Realistically capture multiple human movements simultaneously for the creation of high-quality games, animation and VFX sequences. Our industry standard facility features a 24-camera rig, Vicon hardware and Cara facial performance capture headset.

A customised esports lab for showcase and learning. Computer equipment is top of the range industry standard, featuring tournament level hardware and software, allowing for ease of use and the best in quality assurance.

Specialist Computer Room

A large capacity computer room containing high-spec PCs with dual monitors and Wacom Intuos Pro tablets, as well as a range of specialist software.

Maker Space

An area for light making work that includes woodwork and metalwork benching with vices and downdraught tables and air benches for light sanding, a variety of hand tools, soldering equipment and magnified lighting for detailed work.

Space to study

You can use our libraries and networked computers at any time of day or night with spaces for quiet and group study as well as room to get some headspace. Our academic skills team will help you develop essential skills for University and beyond.

Our new Catalyst building is home to some of our most popular study spaces, including bookable rooms with full presenting equipment, webinar pods, large tables for group projects, networked computers and an entire floor dedicted for silent study.

Healthy smoothies, hearty oatcakes and the best coffee around can be found in Squeezebox on College Road campus.

Pavilion Burrito and Wrap bar is a Mexican style restaurant that offers a Breakfast and Lunch menus throughout the week.

Verve has been transformed into an amazing alcohol-free space, serving the best coffee from our partners at Roastology, made to order smoothies and milkshakes, top quality alcohol-free beers, soft drinks and mocktails.
