At Staffordshire, we are proud of our reputation for the provision of student support and encourage our students to be proactive in preparation for higher education.
We aim to make the transition process into Higher Education as smooth as possible and will work with you from the earliest opportunity to ensure that this is the case by initiating your individual support plan. We will provide information about Disabled Students' Allowances (PDF, file size: 426.81KB) and support you through the application process to ensure that funding is in place to pay for any support needs at University.
All applicants, on disclosure of disability will receive a Welcome pack (PDF, file size: 338.58KB) offering information, guidance and help with the process of application and arrangement of support.
Have a look at our short student case studies, where students talk about their experiences of application for Disabled Students' Allowances and the support that they receive at Staffordshire University.
All students that accept the offer of a place at Staffordshire University, will then receive a Transition Guide with more detailed information for disabled students preparing to move into higher education with Staffordshire University.
Open House at the Student Enabling Centre
Look out for the regular Open House events. Taking place at both Stafford and Stoke campuses, call in for coffee and cake. Meet some of the team and find out what we do.
