Living at Clarice Cliff Court
We have a team of Residence Life Coordinators (RLCs) who stay in our accommodation with students and make sure everyone is happy and settled. They're all returning students who have been at the University for at least a year already. Having been newcomers themselves, they know exactly what it's like to start a whole new adventure! So they're the people to go to if you need help finding the best supermarket in the area, the best place around for a good night out, and even where to do your laundry. They're available 24/7 to help you out - even if you just want a cuppa and a chat.
While living with us, Residents (along with their flat mates) are responsible for the day to day cleaning of the communal areas. We have a team of experienced Halls Assistants who are friendly and full of hints and tips to help make things a little bit easier.
If you have any maintenance issues with where you're living (e.g. A light has stopped working) you don't have to go out and replace the bulb yourself. Our team of Porters will fix the issue for you, just let us know and we'll be over as soon as possible.
Living at College Court
We're working in partnership with Homes for Students to offer our students accommodation at College Court. All of our accommodation here at College Court is en-suite and a stones-throw away from our College Road campus. This modern building is a real community, with a common room for movie nights and a picturesque view of the local canal. Free tea and toast is available on the weekends too!
Hanley town centre is a 10 minute walk from College Court. Here you will find some fantastic restaurants on offer with independent places such as: Roberto’s Pizza House, The Church Bar and Restaurant (for your fancier fare), NOM restaurant (for all your favourite red meats) and La Bella Napoli, a traditional Italian.
The En-suite rooms at College Court feature a shower, toilet and washbasin. Bedroom furniture including a bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, chair and bedside cabinet as well as data points for high-speed Internet access and a television point.
