Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy 2013

The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy 2013 outlines the framework for promoting equality, inclusivity and diversity within the University community to deliver equality of opportunity and access to all.  It is closely aligned with the University Plan and our values:

Each Faculty and Service has its own local-level Equality Action Plan.

Equality Objectives 2012-2016

Our Equality Objectives demonstrate our commitment to achieving significant positive change across our community over the coming four years. We expect the achievement of these objectives to result in meaningful improvements for all staff and students. In addition to these benefits, the development and publication of these objectives helps us to fulfil our obligations under the Public Sector Equality Duty.

We consulted with all our staff and students during the development of our objectives to ensure that they were challenging but achievable.

The objectives support our University Plan and are integrated into our business processes. Our objectives are monitored regularly by Executive and the Board of Governors to ensure that progress is being made. A summary of overall progress is included in the our annual reports.
