Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Framework 2018-21
At Staffordshire University we are committed to promoting and enabling a positive culture where staff, students and visitors are confident to be their authentic selves. We focus on inclusion as a way to ensure equality of opportunity for all our people and to demonstrate our commitment to Equality, Diversity and Human Rights. This commitment is reflected in our Core Values.
The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Framework 2018-21 sets out:
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Statement;
Strategic Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Objectives 2018-21; and
Monitoring and reporting arrangements.
We consulted with staff and students during the development of our strategic objectives to ensure that they are challenging but achievable.
Each School and Service take forward equality, diversity and inclusion as part of their mainstream annual business plan.

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan 2018-19
We will develop and implement annual Equality, Diversity and Inclusion action plans that are linked to the University Strategic Plan and our strategic Key Performance Indicators. They will clarify the actions we will take each year to make Equality, Diversity and Inclusion evident in all our mainstream activities, policies, procedures and projects.

The action plans support our University Plan and are integrated into our business processes. They are monitored regularly by Executive and the Board of Governors to ensure that progress is being made. A summary of overall progress is included in the our annual reports.
