eduroam allows Staffordshire University staff and students to take their laptops, tablets and mobile devices into other Educational Institutions worldwide, and connect using their Staffordshire University username and password.

How to connect

It is easy to connect to eduroam. Just use one of our guides below. It is best to join eduroam while still on the Staffordshire University campus to check you can join successfully.  Eduroam will then continue to work seamlessly when you visit other institutions.

When joining eduroam you will be prompted for your username and password.

Staff usernames need to be in the format of: (e.g. - not your email address)

Student usernames need to be in the format of: e.g.

For the password you just need your normal Active Directory login password.

All users of the eduroam service are required to adhere to our Staffordshire University's Wireless Policy (PDF, file size: 117.53KB)  and any equivalent policies of the academic institution they are visiting, in addition to the Janet eduroam UK Policy
