The VPN (or Virtual Private Network) service enables staff and students to create a secure connection to the University Network and gain access to resources off campus.

VPN for Students

What will it do for me?

Staffordshire University VPN for Students allows valid Student users who are off campus to securely connect to the University network to access core services, such as your H: drive.

What do I need to do?

You must have a broadband network connection to be able to use VPN.  You also first need to check that your computer meets the minimum system requirements described in the Computer Specifications section of this page.

How do I get it?

  • You can obtain the VPN client which is called Cisco AnyConnect Client by opening a web browser and entering https://vpn.staffs.ac.uk in  the address bar. You will then be instructed to download the VPN client.

Note that you must be off campus and be a current member of Staff or Student in order to access the software.

What will it do for me?

Staffordshire University VPN for Staff allows valid remote Staff users to securely connect to the University network to access core services.
