We have invested more than £5.5 million in two groundbreaking Centres of Excellence, supporting the region's healthcare professionals of the future.

So whether you are looking to study at Shrewsbury or Stafford campus, you will benefit from state-of-the-art-facilities, clinical skills technologies and professionally qualified teaching staff.

Skill labs

You'll experience a range of real-life activities such as life support, urinary catheterization, obstetric emergencies, cannulation and drug administration.

These state-of-the-art labs allow a number of clinical procedures to be simulated on mannequins, enabling students to reach a level of confidence and proficiency before carrying out procedures on real patients.

Specialist environments

Stafford's Centre of Excellence provides a specialist teaching environment for our healthcare experts of the future.

We're transforming the Centre for Excellence for Health Sciences, based at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital site, with more than £1 million being invested to provide our students with the best possible student experience.

95% of our graduates enter into degree related employment within 6 months of finishing their course. We're proud to say that.

Whether that be for the NHS, private organisations or charities, we equip our students with the skills and experience they need to hit the ground running.

UK trained nurses can work all over the world and their skills are always in demand. You'll be able to choose from a variety of organisational settings from giving care in large hospitals to people's own homes.

Your education however doesn't have to stop upon qualification. Staffordshire University can further enhance your professional skills and knowledge by providing you with a range of individual modules in an area of interest, additional professional qualifications or study at Masters Level.

Guaranteed Work Experience

Who says students have never done a day's work? We provide the opportunity of work experience for all new students joining us in September.

You'll spend half of your time gaining a wealth of different experiences and learning opportunities. Whatever your specialism, you'll get to practice in a caring, compassionate and competent manner and you'll enter the job market with a clear edge over the competition.

Qualified mentors will play a pivotal role in supporting you in practice, as well as assessment. They'll plan and co-ordinate your learning experience, balancing the amount of direct supervision you require against independent learning. Wherever you live we'll advise and support you in your travel arrangements.

Unlike other universities, our students fully engage in diverse and dynamic placement environments which enable our students to be totally equipped to work in any healthcare environment.
