Undergraduate Sociology, Criminology and Terrorism Degrees

Investigate the structures and cultures of different societies throughout the world and history.

You'll analyse the various patterning found in society. Tackling the economy, media, surveillance, gender and race we'll be key to your degree. You'll also chart social trends to help us better understand the dilemmas of modern life. And you'll raise philosophical issues about the ways in which we study society.

Each degree will give you opportunities to develop your ability to research and assess different theories on the social world. You'll also look at various research methods in the analysis and the place of people in society.

This course is ideal for those with a natural curiosity who are looking for a rewarding career in the community, police and justice sectors. In these roles, you'll get the chance to implement positive changes in people's lives.

Sian Nicola Chapman

Without the support of the staff and the well-structured approach to teaching, and identifying my learning needs, I would be ill-prepared for my current role. I'm now able to prepare professional reports for management purposes and am able to approach my work in a methodical and analytical manner suited to a professional role.
