Most items in the Library are available to loan including CDs, DVDs and videos. Laptops, cameras, and AV equipment are also available for loan.
Any items that you need which we don't stock, you can request from an external Library through our Document Delivery Service.
Staffordshire University students, staff, PhD pre-registration students and anyone from a SURF College who studies or teaches on a Staffordshire University award has full borrowing entitlements.
Library membership with full borrowing entitlement entitles you to:
The normal loan period for most items is 2 weeks. Short Loan items can be borrowed for 24 - 48 hours.
Items which have different loan periods have labels on their spine with the loan period on, for example: 24 hour loan, Ref (reference books), Not for loan.
PLEASE NOTE: If an item being issued to you has been requested by someone else, the loan period will be reduced from two weeks to one week.

You can renew most books and two week loan items up to 20 times. Fines and charges are payable on items returned late, damaged or lost.
PLEASE NOTE: Write down the new return dates on the date labels of all items which you have renewed yourself, and always check your library record carefully.
Information Services cannot accept any responsibility for inaccuracies on your part whilst using online or self service facilities.
