Library membership cost, entitlement and requirements for external people.

Membership for external borrowers is provided at the discretion of the Director of the Information Services or representative. Apart from access to the online library catalogue, membership does not include access to electronic information resources.

• £50 per year 
• £20 if unwaged or senior citizen

• Borrrow 5 items but doesn't include borrowing from the short loan collection or access to databases.
• Renew library membership without prior application.

Corporate Membership Scheme

Cost

• £50 (each) = 1 employee
• £45 (each) = 2-5 employees
• £40 (each) = 6-10 employees
• £35 (each) = 11-20 employees
• £30 (each) = 21-50 employees
• £25 (each) = 50 + employees             

Entitlements

Membership will entitle you to:

• Borrrow 5 items, but doesn't include any short loan items.
• Reservations.

Cost

Free.

• Proof of ID.
• Passport sized photograph.

Fines and charges

No charge is made for borrowing items from the Library providing it is returned before the due date. Fines and charges are levied for late returns and lost or damaged items.

For late items, the charges are:

• 25p per day for 2 week loans.
• 50p per hour (or part hour) for short loans. This reflects the demand for the material and to ensure equal access for all students who require them.
• £5 for items requested by Document Delivery (inter-library loans).       

For lost or damaged items, you will be required to pay the cost of replacing the item(s) plus an administration charge of £3 per item.
