The people who govern and manage the University.
Baljinder is the Founder and Managing Director of The Supply Register, where he has brought 15 years of HR consulting experience with the public sector and leading recruitment process outsourcing firms to this technology-driven, education resourcing business.
Before The Supply Register, Baljinder was the Head of Education for the UK’s leading workforce management experts Geometric Results Inc. (GRI). He joined GRI in 2015 from One Education, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Manchester City Council where he was appointed to launch recruitment services.
Baljinder has also served as the Special Education Needs Development Manager at Capita Group’s education resourcing division CER where through his work was invited to the Management Board at Edge Hill University as a stakeholder representative. And before this, there were also roles at Randstad Public Services where his commitment to customer service and supporting colleagues resulted in the achievement of several awards, and at Stoke-on-Trent’s Children and Young People Services working closely with Senior Advisers for Early Years and Special Educational Needs and the city’s Newly Qualified Teachers.
In his role at The Supply Register Baljinder leads service delivery, compliance, sales and marketing professionals to deliver a better deal to educators while directing the partnerships with Multi-Academy Trusts, NASUWT – The Teachers’ Union and The Skills Network.
Baljinder has raised investment through Seed and Series A funding rounds for The Supply Register as it has grown out from a start-up in 2016. In 2019, he successfully closed a round of Venture Capital funding led by the British Business Bank and the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) to scale-up this disruptive business.
Baljinder is passionate and committed to education, young people and levelling up opportunities to people of disadvantage; he has two young daughters and lives in Barlaston in Staffordshire, where he enjoys spending time with his family, keeping fit and visiting Old Trafford to watch Manchester United.
