Be Inspired at Staffordshire University (biSU)

biSU is a start-up programme offering 12 months of support to help budding business owners with ideas to start and grow a commercial venture.

Since 2001, the programme has worked with almost 700 businesses with a sustainability rate (surviving 3 years or more) of 80%. biSU takes participants on a journey that transforms individuals into successful business owners with the ability to confidently navigate the world of business.

Over 12 months, participants will benefit from a 3 day ‘business basics’ induction, followed by regular meetings with industry mentors, industry-led specialist business workshops and business networking opportunities.

The programme also offers access to online resources to support personal & professional development and personalised legal documentation software. A qualified and experienced team of business advisers provides information, advice and guidance to participants throughout the programme.

To get businesses up and running biSU provides a £3,000 tax free grant and access to additional growth investment opportunities.

Who can apply?

This programme is open to Staffordshire based Graduates (of any University) with EU/ UK residency. The project cannot support direct retail business ideas.
