All applicants are individually assessed on their qualifications, skills and experience.

We welcome applications from candidates with a CACHE level 3 Diploma.

Students who wish to apply for the PGCE Primary Education following completion of this degree will need GCSE grade C/4 or above in English, Maths and Science.

The course has been designed for practitioners with an appropriate Foundation Degree in Education or Early Childhood Studies. Applications will be considered from students with at least 240 credits, of which a minimum of 120 must be at Level 5 from an alternative relevant course.

Applicants holding an Regulated Qualifications Framework recognised Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (DET/DTLLS/DIT) qualification will also be considered if they have a minimum of 2 years working within an educational setting.

Because this is a part-time, work-based course, all applicants must be employed (either paid or voluntary) within an education or early years setting for at least four hours per week for the duration of the course.

As you will visit places of education on this course, it is essential that all students complete a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This will be completed during the induction process.

• Access to HE Diploma - Pass Access with a minimum of 80 UCAS tariff points. Applicants to Staffs who are taking the Access to HE Diploma receive a reduced tariff point offer as part of our access and participation plan activity
• UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma - grade of Merit overall
• OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma - grade DMM
• T Levels - Eligible T Level applications will be asked to achieve a minimum overall grade of P (A*-C) or Higher Pass as a condition of offer

In addition to the required UCAS points, applicants need GCSEs in English, maths and science at 4/C or above. Where applicants are taking or have taken double or triple award science, at least one grade must be 4.
