The tutor was very knowledgeable and passionate about the topic and this was apparent when delivering the Mentoring training to our customers. The course content was very informative, relevant and delivered in just the right way. An excellent and very useful training course both for the potential mentors as well as for staff that took part in the sessions! Jonathan Goodwin, Volunteer Coordinator, Brighter Futures What an exceptional day we had. This has been one of the most encouraging, significantly searching and inspiring workshops I ve been to. Christine McDermott, MA Community Practice, on the Developing a Sustainable Social or Community Enterprise Masterclass. Within two months of starting the MA, I applied for a new job and breezed through the interview using material I learned on the course. Kenny Aitchinson, MA Regeneration
"I had a vested interest in Mentoring and needed a course which would teach me about both theory and practical skills needed to be a good mentor. Thank you to Staffordshire University and Louise Rutherford for making the course interesting, relevant to my employment needs and most enjoyable. I would highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a short course which delivers its aim".

"I found the short course in Mentoring at Staffordshire University rewarding, stimulating and personally challenging. As someone who is not an existing student or someone who uses mentoring skills in my working life (needing to refresh and confirm my skills) but someone who works in a voluntary capacity as a school governor I found the course a very worthwhile stepping stone in developing both my understanding of mentoring and my own learning. The tutors were engaging and supportive and this made the learning experience enjoyable and thought provoking. I will certainly use my new skills and hope to continue my learning with the Creative Communities Unit when the opportunity arises."
Fiona Stagg, 2015
