Work experience

At Staffordshire University, we put work experience at the centre of all that we do. So, we've developed our teaching to emphasise the importance of gaining hands-on experience.

This work experience may link to your course, or it could be in a broader field. Alongside your studies, it will give you the best possible mix of knowledge and practical understanding.

We invite industry professionals in to give talks and to share their insight into the latest developments in the world of fashion as well as the latest work practices. We do this to ensure that our teaching is up-to-date and provides you with the best and most relevant information to give you a head start on the competition.

Our industry connections can help put you in touch with the right contacts to help you find the perfect internship or work placement.

Careers

To get ahead of the competition, all students have the option to choose a sandwich year, where you can go out into the fashion industry to gain a year's experience in the area of your choosing.

Our guest lectures are led by some of the most influential industry professionals, who will inspire you to achieve your ambitions.
