The people who govern and manage the University.
We know going to university can sometimes be expensive, however a very generous donation has been given by Kirsty and Ernesto Bertarelli, offering bursaries to new Staffordshire University students (subject to eligibility).
This bursary will award £1,500 per year for a 3 year degree, with no further applications needed during year 2 and 3.
Prospective students must meet the following criteria in order to be eligible to apply for the one of the bursaries:
The bursary will be paid in two instalments (one will be cash and the other will be through Unicard) – Students must be in full attendance for these payment dates.
Unicard can be used across all campus sites and in all University venues.
Students must be actively engaged in their studies, with failure to do this resulting in the bursary being taken away.
Students must also be willing to be involved in University publicity campaigns e.g. social media, web, magazines if required.
An annual report will be required to update the donor on your studies and how the funding has helped.
As there are now only 33 bursaries available, remember to put your all into the application. Ensure you review before submitting, check your spelling and ultimately outline your goals and ambitions and explain with passion how this bursary will help you to achieve.
Staffordshire University will conduct a review of a student’s bursary if progress or performance in their studies is deemed to be unsatisfactory without a legitimate reason for this. If the scholar ceases to be a registered full-time student at the University or they take up full-time employment whilst in receipt of the bursary, no further payments will occur. Staffordshire University has the right to withdraw an award from anyone who is found to have misled the institution regarding any aspect of their eligibility and to seek repayment of any monies already paid to them. Staffordshire University reserves the right to revise or amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. All decisions made by the Development and Alumni Relations Office are final.
