Interested in Social Work?, taking place on Friday, is open to anyone interested in qualifying in social work or completing continuous professional development if already qualified. It will give attendees a flavour of how Staffordshire University can help prospective students meet their potential and grow within the sector.
Peter Simcock, Senior Lecturer in Social Work, said: “The event is intended to support both qualified social workers with all important continuing professional development and also, those who are working in the social care setting and looking to complete a qualifying social work degree on a part time basis to fit around busy working lives.”
“The morning will give attendees the knowhow on how to develop and is open to individuals, organisations and businesses looking to improve their workforce.”
The programme will feature a range of talks from Social Work lecturers and current students as well information about placements and advice how to apply. Anyone is welcome to attend the event can book a place by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Interested in Social Work? will be held on Friday 18 March 2016 from 10am – 12noon in the Ashley Building, LT114/16, Leek Road, Stoke-on-Trent. Refreshments will be available on the day.
