Money for entrepreneurial students from SUSSED

Staffordshire University Success in Entrepreneurial Development

Entrepreneurial development of students can be enhanced through funding available to faculties and services within Staffordshire University.

Opportunities to bid for money for activities, trips and events is available through “Staffordshire University Success in Entrepreneurial Development” (SUSSED).

Raising student awareness and understanding of enterprise is the premise for applying for support which is a maximum of £500 per faculty or service.

Ally Jephcott, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Assistant, said: “We have a pot of money to enhance student’s entrepreneurial development through interactive activities.

“Some examples could be guest speakers, university trips, attending venues relating to specific topics studied - anything which relates and enhances their understanding of enterprise.”

SUSSED is also hoping the money will be used to encourage students to start their own business, help them gain first hand experience, encouragement engagement with businesses and enable entrepreneurship to become more embedded within the curriculum.

The deadline date for faculties and services to apply for funding is the 11th of February 2008.
