The total course fee is: £4,500

- BA (Hons) Business Management - £2250 (Second 60 credits of study)
This award is ideal for personnel who are progressing in their career and are beginning, or have aspirations, to take on a more responsible role requiring business management skills,
It is also suitable for personnel who have non-business HNC/HND qualifications (perhaps computing, arts or health) who wish to move into management and for these a bridging course is available to facilitate entry to the award.
The award enables you to move into degree-level study at the ‘pace-and-place’ that suits you, particularly if you are in employment.
The award shares the same learning outcomes and content as the Business Management (Top-up) Part-Time BA honours award: both of these awards fulfil the same need for students who wish to progress onto a full Honours degree. The difference here is that it is delivered in blocks, with a combination of online directed learning mixed with a degree of face-to-face tuition.
As a student with existing employment skills, there is more focus on academic and entrepreneurial skills and application of these in the workplace. The core content you will be covering includes Applied Business Research, Global Business Directions and Strategic Management in Organisations. There are also two ‘Professional Choice’ modules:
• Coaching and Mentoring in the Workplace
• Learning, Knowledge and Performance
You will acquire and understand academic knowledge, and be able to confidently apply it in practice through being an adept communicator, good team worker, have good interpersonal skills, be critical (and able to accept and build on criticism), have the ability to solve problems, make decisions and be able to manage your own time.
Intakes: We have intakes in September and January
Study Method: Delivery is provided through a blended approach, combining a small amount of face-to-face workshops, online webinar tutorials followed by distance learning
Typical Duration: The course will take approximately 18 months to complete although you have a maximum of 3 years to complete the award.
Entry Requirements: This programme is for anyone who has completed a Foundation Degree in Business Management, Leadership and Management or Human Resource Management, and also for those who have completed an HND in a business or management related area, or an ILM/CMI Diploma.
We also welcome enquiries from personnel who have worked in management positions for a number of years and have reached the rank of SNCO or above.
