A professional background in Global Marketing Management and Marketing Consultancy brought me in to higher education, with a passion for facilitating learning, thereby delivering the marketers of the future to the profession. I have been a Chartered Marketer for thirteen years and have been awarded Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. I am also a Senior Fellow of the HEA and am currently studying for a Doctorate in Education. During my time at Staffordshire University I have been awarded a Teaching Excellence Fellowship for work involving sharing good practice in online delivery and I have championed the use of digital platforms to facilitate engaging taught sessions with students. I have worked on Knowledge Exchange projects for local employers and was involved in the development and launch of our successful suite of apprenticeship programmes within the Business School. Within my current role I focus on the strategic development of courses that reflect the changing global environment, digital ways of working and contemporary themes in business, to ensure that our graduates are successful in achieving their aspirations towards careers of the future.

Research interests
Currently studying for a Doctorate in Education, my research explores the impact of changing consumer behaviour, in the form of “digital conversations' on academic identity. I presented at the Advance HE Teaching and Learning Conference, with a poster titled Challenging Academic Identity. I have previously presented at the Academy of Marketing Conference with a paper exploring Use of Social Media in HE and I have recently co-authored a chapter on Digital Marketing for a new marketing text.
