James Mccarren

Senior Lecturer

School of Digital, Technologies and Arts

As an Engineering apprentice from the age of 16, I developed my practical skills along side my academic qualifications. The combined skill set enabled me to obtain lead design engineering positions across the UK within international companies. Later in life I trained to teach within FE colleges and advanced into Lecturing within University life. As a practising engineer I use my skills to apply computing to real life situations, after all Electronic engineers design , build and program computers!!!
