Dr Jane Robb

Lecturer Outdoor Learning & Biodiversity

Institute of Education

I have a portfolio career spanning work in outdoor education, science communication, secondary teaching, and interdisciplinary research.

In addition to experience leading sessions in a wide range of outdoor environments across ages and stages; I have classroom experience in grammar and comprehensives teaching chemistry, geography and environmental science from KS3-5.

I managed a commercial environmental education centre including a small tutor team, have experience co-founding an educational non-profit, working in Europe on international science communication projects and in running student experience events in UK higher education.

My research has involved a range of national and international partners and stakeholders, quantitatively exploring how values influence behaviour and how this can be applied to policy. My doctoral work was based in Guatemala, exploring drivers of deforestation with a focus on UN-REDD+.
