I’m particularly interested in the applied side of Psychology, and how useful and relevant it can be in the ‘real’ world. Although I still teach in this area, I have also moved into a different area of expertise after ‘discovering’ criminological and forensic psychology, and now consider that my specialism and primary subject. I originally graduated from Aston University and did postgraduate study in Forensic Psychology at the University of Leicester. (Hons) Behavioural Science, majoring in Psychology Research interests My research interests lie in forensic psychology- specifically the motivation to deceive in police interviews, and the application of psychological predictive models to understand motivation to deceive. In my current role I am also interested in the student experience and am interested in understanding perceptions of barriers to success in HE.
