I’m a Technical Specialist, with a background in film production and as a freelance filmmaker, editor and photographer.
I started making short films and music videos at 14, and went to study Video Production and Creative Writing at Bucks New Uni. After that I worked predominantly as an Assistant Director on a number of feature and short films in London.
On returning to Staffordshire, I worked part-time as a technician for Staffordshire University whilst also working as a freelance videographer and editor on projects ranging from live events, documentaries, music videos, weddings and music festivals, enjoying jobs around the UK, Europe, America and Asia. I took this time to complete an MSc at Staffordshire University. When the campuses merged, I became a full time Technical Instructor and have enjoyed the extra teaching that the role entails. Although this is now my full-time job, I still enjoy being involved in creative projects outside of work and bringing those resources into my teaching.
