I have extensive experience in organisational management, having worked across a range of staff role departments within policing contexts. My most notable appointments saw me working in areas including Human Resources, Recruitment, Employee Relations and Organisational Development.
After 17 years working in policing, I moved to Staffordshire University to design, develop and deliver the systems and processes which facilitated the Institute of Policing's Policing Education Qualifications Framework (PEQF) implementation.
Since moving into higher education, I have achieved a promotion to the role of Business, Planning and Resource Manager within the Institute of Policing. As a senior leader within the Institute of Policing, I lead and manage the business support team, driving a vibrant and engaged culture and facilitating an enhanced capability to increase the pace and implementation of change.
My current role sees me assisting the Director to deliver the Institute of Policing's objectives, as determined in the School Business Plan.
I lead and manage the Institute of Policing’s business support staff team to work proactively, effectively and efficiently within the School and in a range of cross-institutional networks.
I oversee work which impacts upon our of cross-institutional network, including our regional police partnership, managing the operational elements of the programme and overseeing the following:
- Workforce planning,
- Digital support and innovation,
- Strategic communications and stakeholder management,
- Student officer pastoral support administration.
