After graduating from Aston University I worked in industry for a number of years designing instruments for the measurement of flow, pressure and temperature in hydraulic systems. I joined Staffordshire University in 1993 and was responsible for setting up the EMC centre. Since then I have worked on numerous EU and UK government funded projects with hundreds of SMEs and larger companies. I have also undertaken many commercially funded electronic product developments. I have won two Lord Stafford Awards for my work with companies.
