I have enjoyed a successful career in various legal contexts. I started with the Lord Chancellor’s Department in London at the Bloomsbury and Marylebone County Court where I worked as an Executive Officer. After 6 years as a Civil Servant I spent the next twenty-five years of my profession with Derbyshire Constabulary, performing a number of challenging and rewarding roles, rising to the position of Inspector. I later moved into private practice with Knights Solicitors where I worked in the Family, Private Client and Asset Management teams. I joined Staffordshire University’s Law School in 2015 and currently lecture on the Legal Practice Course, specialising in Property Law and Practice, Drafting skills, Solicitor’s Accounts and Family Law and Practice. In addition to lecturing full time I am a qualified solicitor and mediator.
