Steve Hargreaves

I have spent well over a decade working in Education and I have specialised in developing relationships with businesses. In my current role as an Employer Partnerships Development Manager, I look after the business incubator and take the lead in several exciting innovation projects. I set up KTPs and have supported businesses with Innovate UK bids.

I enjoy presenting and speaking to the business community and partners about the fantastic support programmes on offer by Staffordshire University. I enjoy lifelong learning recently, completing my MBA part-time. Previous to working for Staffs Uni, I have worked for another University managing the award-winning internship programme and I was the employer lead on various innovation projects. Before that, I was the head of Careers for a school and College. I have previously also managed the Job Shop at Stoke College and worked as a recruitment consultant also spending 5 years as a Civil Servant in a regional partnerships' role representing the Staffordshire region.

I enjoyed volunteering as the vice-chair of Governors for a school for the past 5 years. I have previously volunteered as an Enterprise Advisor for Stoke Council/Careers and Enterprise Company. I was proud to represent the region in the Barclays Life Skills Advisory Council for 4 years. I am lucky enough to have been nominated for multiple awards in my career to date. Most of all I am #ProudToBeStaffs, as a former business studies graduate, to be now back working at the university is an honour.
