Having spent 15 years as a senior HR Practitioner whilst teaching CIPD professional qualifications part-time, I joined the University permanently to further develop my academic career and to use my knowledge of the context of professional life to give students a better insight into the profession.

I have worked in all aspects of HRM in a range of sectors, my specialist areas are Change Management, Leadership and Management, Employee Engagement and Performance and Reward

Research interests

I am interested in researching topics around employee engagement – how useful surveys and other tools are for identifying this, as well as themes around work-life balance for professionals.
