Staffordshire University Professoriate

The Professoriate membership includes over 70 Professors and Associate Professors; it aims to act as the foremost thinktank that supports and develops Staffordshire University’s mission as a connected University. The Professoriate concept is unique to Staffordshire University, and its mission is to contribute, influence, enable and shape the collective advancement of the University policy and strategy in the areas of research, enterprise, scholarship, knowledge exchange, and teaching and learning.

The Professoriate also provides academic leadership by fostering excellence in research, teaching and professional activities. Collectively, the Professoriate members make an excellent forum of interdisciplinary expertise drawn from all schools and departments of the University. Members of the Professoriate act as academic leaders and ambassadors in their own fields, hence we continuously promote external collaboration and partnership to address national and international priorities

The Professoriate operates by five working groups, each focusing on a defined area of strategic importance to the University. We run multiple activities, both internally and externally facing, including specialist research talks and seminars, public lectures through our series of Profs in the Pav and Professorial Inaugural lectures, workshops and conferences.
