About Me

I studied for my BSc and PhD at Durham university and worked as a postdoctoral research assistant at Exeter, Leicester and Warwick Universities.  I am an Associate Professor in Inorganic and Forensic Chemistry and have worked at Staffordshire University since 1986.  Since 2016 I have worked part time (2 days per week). Outside the university I am interested in the trials and tribulations of the England and Notts cricket teams and have an obsession with classical music (so long as it has recognisable tunes somewhere in it).
