Using practice as research to create ideas and content to include and impact communities in the UK and internationally – a study into creating new ideas for impact and a case for funding. Lithium-ion batteries are being widely used in a range of applications due to their advantages of high energy, power density and long lifespan. In this session, an introduction to the Lithium-ion battery technology and their challenges will be presented which will be followed by tasks related to battery performance analysis.

The IMechE Formula Student Competition takes place at the home of British Motorsport, Silverstone in July. Students have been working hard all year to design and build a motorcycle-engined single seater race car, as well as working on the technical and business aspects. These sessions are for those students involved in the formula student competition to access the workshop facilities and make final preparations for competition. It's Go Go Go!
