The needs assessment

  • A Disabled Student Allowances (DSA) Study Needs Assessment is a discussion between you and one of our Assessors about your study methods and how these relate to your chosen course of study.

  • We will match you with the most suitable Assessor available for your disability.

  • We aim to recommend a package of support that helps you as an individual achieve your potential.

  • You do not need to bring anything with you to the appointment unless specifically instructed.

  • You should allow about two hours for the appointment.

  • The Assessor will ask you about disability-related difficulties that affect your studies.

  • The Assessor may show you some software and other technology but you will not have to do any tests.

  • The Assessor will take notes to draft a report for you.
