Ramadan, the month long period of fasting for Muslims, changes according to the sighting of the new moon and gets earlier each year by approximately 10 days. Over the next few years Ramadan will start to fall during early summer when students will be handing in final assessments/ dissertations and sitting exams.

Catering - The University offers the option of Halal meat. Look for the certificate in main catering outlets. Vegetarian options are always available. If you have any particular dietary requirements please ask.
Our catering outlets support the celebration of religious festivals whenever possible. We will be having Welsh cakes and other tasty treats on St David's Day (1 March) and Pancakes on Shrove Tuesday.
Multifaith Chaplaincy - the Multifaith Chaplaincy offers pastoral and spiritual support, advice and friendship for people from all faiths and none. There is help in exploring issues of faith and spirituality. The Chaplaincy provides a place to meditate and pray, a quiet place to spend time with friends and information on local places of worship and faith groups.

Religious Celebrations at the University - the University helps different faith groups celebrate their major festivals throughout the year - look out for details. All staff and students are welcome to join in these celebrations.
The University closes for Christmas and Easter (Good Friday and Easter Monday).
