Welcome Weekend is the start of your university career, and your chance to complete face-to-face enrolment, collect your Student ID Card and pick up the keys to your new student accomodation.
Moving in day for Stoke-on-Trent Campus is on Saturday 14 September 8am - 6pm, and you will be allocated an arrival slot when you confirm your accommodation booking. If you are commuting to campus from home and can't enrol during Flying Start then you can book to enrol on this day too.
If you’re moving into private landlord accommodation, please come on the pre-agreed day - but at a time that suits you and your landlord!
The Sunday is filled with activities to help students living away from home acclimatise to the local area and to get to know their new housemates.
On the Saturday of Welcome Weekend we’ll be hosting welcome events for parents and supporters in our Student Hub on Leek Road campus. You’re invited to get a drink, relax and attend one of our Vice Chancellor welcome talks. At this event, new students are also invited to hear some of our current students being interviewed about what it’s really like to study at Staffordshire University. Bookings for these talks will open in the next few weeks. You may prefer to do this once you have arranged your enrolment/move in slot so you know what time you are likely to be on campus.
We'll be holding extended enrolment sessions over the first few weeks of semester 1 so if for any reason you cant make enrolment over the weekend or during Flying Start then please don’t worry.
Sunday is when it all starts to happen for those living away from home! If you’ve opted for University accommodation, you'll be picking up your accommodation keys and our face-to-face enrolment starts the following day, where you can get your Student ID Card. Commuting students do not need to arrive until Monday 16 September.
Our friendly ResLife team will be on hand to welcome you and help you move in. What's more, we usually organise some social activities to help relax those first day nerves!
The Monday of Welcome Weekend is the time for your course welcome and face-to-face enrolment , where you can get your Student ID Card.
