NHS Choices
If you have a problem with drugs or alchohol, or are concerned about someone who has, the NHS Choices - Drug Addiction and NHS Choices - Alcohol support web pages have information about how to get help.
One Recovery Staffordshire
Led by Addiction Dependency Solutions (ADS), One Recovery is an innovative substance misuse partnership. One Recovery Staffordshire is supported by North Staffordshire NHS Combined Healthcare Trust, Changes, Brighter Futures and Arch Housing.
Narcotics Anonymous UK
Narcotics Anonymous UK hold meetings locally and membership is open to anyone with a drug problem who is seeking help, regardless of what drug or combination of drugs have been used, and irrespective of age, sex, religion, race, creed or class. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using drugs.
Just one Shot
The 'Just one Shot' website has been designed especially for young people, on behalf of Stoke-on-Trent Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT).
FRANK
FRANK is a friendly, confidential drugs advice service aimed at under 19's only and is aimed at those who want support to make positive changes around their involvement with substance misuse.

Alcoholics Anonymous (Great Britain)
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership, and you can find details of local meetings across the area online. The meetings held closest to the University are at the Temple St Methodist Church and Community Centre.
Drinkaware
The Drinkaware Trust is an independent UK-wide alcohol education charity. The Trust is governed independently and works in partnership with others to help reduce alcohol-related harm by helping people make better choices about their drinking. Drinkaware includes information and advice for University students about how to stay safe if drinking alcohol.
