Accessing MyCareer

Access MyCareer by selecting the relevant link, below:

  • Students
    Login to search for jobs and opportunities, book an appointment with an Advisor and to view and book onto careers events, including ConnectedFutures.

  • Graduates 
    2019 graduates:  the first time you go on to MyCareer as a graduate you will need to enter your University username and select the reset password button to create a new password.  Graduates from before 2019 who don't have a MyCareer account can register for an account.

  • Employers
    Register for an account, login and post vacancies

  • Careers Team

  • University staff
    Register for an account and login

  • Beinspired Appointments
    Access MyCareer to book appointments and onto events with the Beinspired team.

What is MyCareer?

MyCareer is your career and personal development one-stop-shop and the first place to go to:

  • Book career appointments

  • Look for jobs and experience

  • Book a place on career workshops and events

  • Ask quick career-related questions

Types of appointment

You can book one of the following career appointments:

  • Career Coaching
    A 25 minute appointment with a career professional to discuss any career-related topics, which might include:

    • Career choice and planning

    • What you can do with your degree and researching careers

    • Finding and getting work experience and jobs

    • CV, covering letter, personal statement and applications

    • Interview tips and preparation, including assessment centres and tests

    • 'Idon't know what I want to do with my career'

  • Mock interview
    An opportunity to experience a job interview and get feedback on how you can improve your technique.

  • Be Inspired
    Meet one of our team of self-employment specialists to talk about freelancing and setting up a business.

Instructions for using MyCareer

Contacting the Career & Personal Development Team

You can meet with a member of the Team at our desk in the new Student Hub in the Science Centre on Leek Road.

We offer appointments with Advisors in person and by telephone.
