The Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) provides a single comprehensive record of your achievement. It is an extended digital transcript you can access which contains detailed information about your learning and achievements.

Along with your degree certificate, it will support applications for employment and further study, as the HEAR is designed to be shared securely with others, including potential employers or other higher education institutions, if you are applying for further study. It will fully capture your academic performance and a range of non-academic achievements, enhancing your employability.

The HEAR provides a free electronic record of your academic transcript, achievements and programme information, but also additional roles within the Students’ Union, ResLife or as an Ambassador. Some Unitemps work experience will also be included.

Students who have completed their studies are eligible to receive a Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR) digital transcript from University of Staffordshire and you can build your HEAR over the course of your studies by checking it year on year.

Who is eligible for the HEAR digital transcript?

All students completing a taught award which is delivered in the UK will be eligible for a HEAR digital transcript.

As from April 2024, all students studying overseas will also be eligible for a Final HEAR digital transcript following publication of results confirming their award.

How is the HEAR digital transcript accessed?

University of Staffordshire is working in partnership with GradIntel to produce the HEAR digital transcript and eligible students will receive a registration email from Gradintelligence Account Registration in their first year of study. Students studying overseas will receive their registration email following the publication of results confirming their award.

You will need to complete the account registration in order to activate and access your HEAR, and will be asked to change the email address linked to your GradIntel account once logged in. This is so that your account does not remain linked to your University email address as this will become inactive once you have completed your studies, and you will be accessing your HEAR following your time at the University.

A formative HEAR will be published during July at the end of each academic year, capturing details of your studies over the past year. Once you have completed your studies, a Final HEAR will be published within 10 working days following the publication of results confirming your award.

If you are struggling to access your account, please follow these steps:

  • Go to https://gradintel.com/index.php/account-support/recover/students
  • Enter your institution, Student ID and Date of Birth details. (please note, your student id is an 8 digit number with no letters).
  • Complete verification via your preferred method; phone, email or security question. If you are activating your account for the first time you will need to verify using your email address (which includes a hint for what email address it is).
  • Once your account has been verified, you will be prompted to set up or edit your account details including your account username and password, as well as your security question and answer, to help you login in the future. We recommend you change your email address to your personal account so that you can easily access your HEAR after you have left the University.
