The University is in the process of rolling out a new fleet of HP printers. From 1st August 2020, until the migration is completed, Students will not be charged for printing and do not need to top up.
Your personalised MyPrint portal can be accessed at https://myprint.staffs.ac.uk
From here you can view a summary of your activity, transaction history, recent print jobs and jobs pending release. You can add print credit, use the Web Print feature or setup mobility print.
Don't worry about choosing a specific printer. If you are working on one of our computers, simply choose MyPrint to print in black & white or colour. You can then go to any printer in any of our buildings to collect your stuff.
You can do a contactless job release from any of our MFDs, meaning you won't have to physically login to the device or touch it.
You can use your student ID card to sign into our MFDs and release your print jobs.
If you need any help, just contact us.
If you are using your own laptop or mobile device, you can still use our printers.
You can submit print jobs from your web browser using Web Print within your MyPrint portal.
When it is done, you will get a 'Complete' message in a green box. Once you see this, you can collect your printing from any printer.
You can also submit print jobs by attaching documents to an email.
Mobility print gives you the option of permanently installing our MyPrint queue onto your device. It's a one-time install and then you can send print jobs to our print jobs from any of your apps. Mobility Print is support on Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android and Chrome OS.
NB: setup and use of the mobility print queue can only be done whilst on campus. To setup:
You can scan your stuff free of charge at any of the printers, which are actually multi-function devices. Hold your student ID card on the scanner to log in, then choose Scan on the screen.
