Domestic abuse is a term used to describe any incidents or patterns of incidents of controlling, threatening, degrading and violent behaviour, including sexual violence, in the majority of cases by a partner or ex-partner, but also by a family member or carer. This can be:
- psychological
- physical
- sexual
- financial
- emotional
