Staffordshire University is the first UK university to become an Unreal Authorised Training Centre

Our authorised training centre will form the cornerstone of our support for industry, schools and colleges CPD in games development, virtual production, simulations, VR and the host of sectors for whom Unreal Engine will be core software. We are pleased to celebrate our longstanding relationship with Epic Games and their vote of confidence in our Unreal Engine expertise.

As one of the leading universities for games development and an official partner of Epic Games, Staffordshire University is now offering accredited cutting-edge training in Unreal Engine to schools, colleges and industry professionals.

Unreal Engine is a powerful real-time 3D creation tool used to develop some of the most innovative and immersive experiences on the market including architecture, vehicle design and healthcare. Expert instructors are trained and authorised by Epic Games to teach Unreal Engine, using Staffordshire University’s state-of-the-art facilities on campus or via remote study.

Welcoming the development, Vice Chancellor Professor Martin Jones, added: “We are extremely proud to become the first UK university to achieve Unreal Authorised Training Centre status, building on our reputation as a leader in games development and digital technologies. We’re passionate about providing next generation education not just for our students but to help those in industry to develop their careers and learn new skills through bite-sized learning. The UATC is a perfect example of this approach.”

Staffordshire University’s Unreal Authorised Training Centre will offer a range of courses that teach real-time skills for many different industries. This includes introductory courses for beginners, advanced courses for experienced developers, and specialised courses in areas such as VR and AR.
