Any student who is required to repeat a year of study will be informed through their most recent students results profile and they are required to agree to their personalised Learning Contract.  The Learning Contract is to ensure the student is aware of the support available and has access to this support.  The Student Support & Experience Team (Money & Guidance) will be inviting students to attend Learning Contract workshops on Microsoft Teams, three times during the new academic year, to offer support, advice and guidance to the student where required.

Workshop 2 took place in February.  If you have missed the workshop you can access a pre-recorded session via our sharepoint

Feedback from students on their Learning Contract experience 2020/2021:

"These meetings have helped me understand that the university is really looking out for its students. I feel as though support is there if anyone needs it, student support is clearly a high priority in the university's eyes."

"It kept me accountable to doing my work and making sure I was doing well. It also helped me get familiar with the people working at Money & Guidance so when I did have a problem then I knew who they were and it was more comfortable for me to go and speak to them about it."

"It helped me to keep on track and it also gave me an idea of where I was progression-wise throughout the year. The team were all very friendly and I felt like I could voice any concerns that I had."

"The Learning contract has really help me get back on track with my work and keep my mind on the work I needed to do over the Univerity Period during the COVID Pandemic. Being able to get in contact with someone from the guidance team has helped my mental health during a hard time."

Students have an opportunity to drop-in to see a Money & Guidance Advisor.  (Please note: there are limited slots available so these will be given on a first come, first served basis  - students will need to sign up against a booking slot at the relevant location, on the day)
