Microsoft Office

Office 365

Microsoft Office is provided free of charge for all our students for the duration of your time at Staffordshire University.  This includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and many others, and our Office 365 licence means that you will always be up to date with the very latest versions.

You can install your free Office on up to 5 different computers, and it works on Mac and PC.  You can even install it on your mobile devices, such as iPad, iPhone, and Android devices.

Microsoft Teams

MS Teams

Microsoft Teams brings everything together in a shared workspace – letting you work from anywhere and making it easy for your team to chat, collaborate on files, and work with favourite apps.

Microsoft Teams is provided as part of the Office 365 licence while you study at Staffordshire University.

To start using Microsoft Teams, log onto www.office.com using your University credentials and click on the Teams icon.

IBM SPSS

SPSS

IBM SPSS provides statistical analysis of data. It allows for in-depth data access and preparation, analytical reporting, graphics, and modelling.

Amos

IBM SPSS Amos enables you to specify, estimate, assess and present models to show hypothesised relationships among variables.  It allows you to build models more accurately than with standard multivariate statistics techniques.

Maple is a symbolic and numeric computing environment, and also covers other aspects of technical computing such as visualisation, data analysis, matrix computation, and connectivity.

NVivo is software that supports qualitative and mixed methods research. It lets you collect, organise and analyse content from interviews, focus group discussions, surveys, audio, social media data, YouTube videos, and web pages.

Sophos Antivirus

We want your online experience at university to be a safe one, so we provide a full antivirus suite for you to use on your computers, Mac or PC.

Sophos Endpoint Protection will secure your Windows and Mac systems against viruses, malware, and other advanced threats, such as targeted attacks.
