Fruit and refreshments made available throughout whole of day. All meals and refreshments are included in each price. Unfortunately we cannot give refunds for children's meals.

 

Education Funding - 2yr, 3yr and 4yr olds

All children over three are entitled to a free education place a term after their third birthday. Funding is available over 38 weeks (15hrs) or 50 weeks (11hrs) of the year. Government funding for children between two to three years can be applied for if your child meets the criteria. All meals will have to be charged. Help with childcare costs

You may be eligible for government help with childcare costs through tax-free childcare, 2, 3 and 4 year old free childcare, (15 hours over 38 weeks) or (11 hours over 50 weeks), 3 and 4 year old free childcare (30 hours over 38 weeks) or (22 hours over 50 weeks), tax credits, universal childcare, care to learn. Please refer to the information on childcarechoices.gov.uk.

Voucher scheme

The nursery accepts vouchers from any employer’s childcare scheme. Talk to your employer about how your nursery fees can be deducted from your salary before tax, saving you money on childcare. 

Grant Scheme

Late collection charge

Please note any child collected late at the end of their session will be charged £15.00 per full/part 15 minutes.

Nappy charges

All nappies must be supplied by yourselves. We do have a small stock to use in an emergency, these will be charged at £2 per nappy. No liability is held if children have an allergic reaction to the nappies supplied.  

Absences / sickness

All absences must be paid in full including sickness. Please inform staff of all absences prior or before 10am on day of absence; otherwise it is procedure to contact you if we have not been informed of an absence to ensure the well-being and safeguarding of you and your child. Holidays

All holidays must be paid in full.

Nursery closure / University closure

Please note the nursery could close up to a maximum of five days for staff training / nursery outings etc throughout the year. A minimum of two months notice will be given. The nursery will also be closed during 24th December to 1st January and other University closure days as outlined on the academic calendar and parent’s notice board. Closure may be required for emergency maintenance / repair work we would endeavor to give two months’ notice where possible.

Change/cancellation of booking

All booking changes/cancellations must be done so in writing giving a minimum of one calendar months’ notice in order to not incur any further charges to your account. Unfortunately, we cannot swap days of attendance from one week to the next due to legal ratio staffing requirements. Changes to the fee structures or sessions times will be given in writing with a minimum of a calendar months’ notice. Please note fees are reviewed on an annual basis.

Invoicing/Payments

Please note you will be invoiced at the end of the month in advance.

All invoices are due prior to attendance and must be paid by the 10th of the month in advance.    

Payments can be made online at: Staffordshire University Online Shop or in person. We do not accept cash payments.

Pay my childcare fees

All payments must quote child’s full name.

If payments are made late your nursery place can be withdrawn from immediate affect. Any outstanding debts will be passed to our finance department and will result in additional charges for collection.
