At Staffordshire University, we like to give you a big welcome!
There are three main elements to starting a year with us:
Flying Start (2nd - 13 September) are the two weeks prior to Welcome Weekend and give local students the opportunity to come into the Student Hub at our Stoke-on-Trent campus to complete face-to-face enrolment at a time which is convenient to them. We are open 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 5pm on 7 and 8 September at our Stoke campus. At Stafford and Shrewsbury we are available 10am - 4pm Monday to Friday.
To make the most of this opportunity you will need to book your enrolment slot online, this function will be available shortly and a link to the booking form will be put on this page.
Welcome Weekend (14 - 15 September) is the weekend prior to Welcome Week. Saturday is the chance for students to complete face-to-face enrolment and pick up the keys to their university accommodation, as well as joining in with the welcome activities provided by our Students’ Union. Sunday is the opportunity for students living away from home to get involved with a wide range of social activities, helping them to make friends with their new housemates or likeminded people.
Welcome Week (16 - 20 September) is the first week of the academic year for our new and returning students. It’s packed with activities and is the perfect opportunity to make new lifelong bonds or get together with old friends to gossip about the summer break. You will have an introduction from your school, meet your Students’ Union, get loads of freebies at the commercial fair as well as having a chance to get involved in a wide range of clubs and societies.
The links below will give you a taster of what to expect this year, and give you a few hints and tips on university survival!
