Professor Heather Eggins is Visiting Professor at the Institute for Education Policy Research, Staffordshire University, Visiting Professor at the University of Sussex UK, and a senior member of Lucy Cavendish College, University of Cambridge.
She was a Fulbright New Century Scholar 2005/2006 working on the topic of ‘Higher Education in the 21st Century: Global Challenge and National Response’ and edited ‘Access and Equity: Comparative Perspectives’ 2010 Sense Publishers, which is a compilation of the research undertaken by her Fulbright Group. Her most recent edited book is ‘Drivers and Barriers to Achieving Quality in Higher Education’ (Sense 2014), which presents the findings of a three year EU project undertaken while a Research Professor at Durham University. She has also served as a Consultant to UNESCO and served as Director of SRHE, a learned society which is an NGO of UNESCO.
Her research interests lie generally in the area of policy and strategy in Higher Education, with a particular interest in access issues, and the impact of globalisation on the higher education system.
