Everything that the course has given me has completely built me up for the role I've got now. So, I'm very thankful for that.

Teresa Sinaguglia, BA (Hons) Business Management (Marketing)

Teresa Sinaguglia studied BA (Hons) Business Management (Marketing) and secured a marketing role with local ceramics manufacturer Churchill China before even graduating.

The 22-year-old from Endon, said: “I've really enjoyed my time at Staffordshire University, especially the course…I’ve been hands on with all of my assignments and I feel like I've been able to really apply them to the working environment

“It's very friendly, very welcoming and whenever I've had any problems or anything that I've needed to raise, they've always been very responsive and supportive."

The course covers the fundamentals of business and allows students to choose dedicated modules to specialise in their areas of interest.

With a focus on real world experience, students have chance to take on live industry briefs, work with existing companies and gain a Chartered Management Institute Level 5 qualification in Management and Leadership, as well as their degree.

During her studies, Teresa also did a work placement with Sainsbury’s and had chance to learn about different areas of the business.

“Business is a huge industry and there's lots of areas to go into.” Teresa commented. “My work placement gave me lots of skills which I was then able to put forward to my employers during my interview.”

Teresa secured a place on Churchill China’s graduate scheme and has been hands on with new product development and promotion, distribution marketing and market analysis.

Her new employers are also supporting Teresa to return to Staffordshire University to complete the Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma in Professional Digital Marketing alongside her new role.

“Everything that the course has given me has completely built me up for the role I've got now. So, I'm very thankful for that.

“I'm very, very happy and very proud. I know that there was a lot of hard work that went into it. I'm just over the moon really – it’s exactly what I wanted.”
