As an international applicant to the University you are required to do a number of extra things in order to be able to enrol onto your course. Once you have referred yourself through UCAS, you must also provide the University with photocopies of:
Your valid passport
Any previous visas
Certificate of your English language qualification
Certificates of other entry requirement qualifications for the course.
You must also be ready to pay a deposit towards your course of up to £3,500 and a £250 deposit towards University accommodation (if applicable) as soon as we accept your UCAS referral.
We will tell you how to send this information to us once we receive your UCAS referral, but we want you to get prepared now! We will then generate a 'Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies' (CAS) which will enable you to apply for a visa.
The turnaround times from visa appointment to visa obtainment can vary from region to region within any country, therefore it is in your best interest to apply early especially as visa offices will be busy at this time of year.
Please be aware that there is additional pre-entry Tuberculosis screening as well as United Kingdom Visa and Immigration (UKVI) credibility interviews being conducted which will consider your immigration and education history, study and post-study plans, and financial circumstances in order to determine that you are a genuine student.
