The Faculty of Health Sciences offers a number of ways to study for a higher degree.
Self-funded PhD study
Suitably qualified students can register for a full-time or part-time PhD with us. Students will usually be registered with a principal supervisor within one of our research centres.
To be considered for a PhD programme, students must typically have both undergraduate and Masters degree qualifications. However, as this is not always the case, we strongly suggest you contact our Research Degrees Administrator if you are uncertain of your eligibility to study.
Our funded PhD studentships provide a particularly attractive means of completing new Doctoral Research projects. As new opportunities for funded PhD positions become available, they will be advertised at jobs.staffs.ac.uk.
In the Faculty of Health Sciences we offer Professional Doctorates in Health Psychology and Professional Studies.
